Phosphorus deficiency made worse by
- Acidic or very alkaline (calcareaus) soils
- Low organic matter
- Cold or wet conditions
- Crops with a poorly developed root system
- Soils with low P reserves
- Soils with a high phosphate capacity
- Iron rich soils
Phosphorus is important for
- Increased energy transfer
- Improved synthesis of proteins
- Greater formation of nucleic acids
- Stronger cell membranes due to increase in phospholipids
Yara recommended fertilizers for Phosphorus
YaraVita® HYDROPHOS™
Soybean: 3 - 5 l/ha when the crop is 5 to 15 cm tall. For moderate to severe deficiency, repeat once or twice at 10 to 14 day intervals up to the start of flowering. Water rate: 50 to 200 l/ha. Fève de soja : Application de 3 - 5 l/ha lorsque la culture mesure de 5 à 15 cm. Répéter une ou deux fois en cas de déficience modérée à sévère à intervalles de 10 à 14 jours plus tard au stade début floraison. Volume d'eau: 50 à 200 l/ha.
