Sulfur deficiency-Canola

Symptoms
Symptoms of sulfur deficiency are visible on younger leaves first. Starting from the leaf margin, they become light green or yellow, partly with violet or reddish discoloration at severe deficiency. In addition, the younger leaves remain small and narrow and their margins are bent upwards.

Reasons
Sulfur deficiency. Similar symptoms on the leaves are visible for nitrogen deficiency, but they start on the older leaves.

Symptoms
Flowering of the rape plants is inhibited and the flowers are deformed. At severe deficiency, they have a white/yellow colour. As a consequence from poor flowering, the pod formation is also restricted, and if pods are formed, they are clearly smaller and do not contain many seeds so that the yield is severely restricted at sulphur deficiency.
